(b) Suggest which of the three averages is the most useful indicator of how much a typical family spends on their holiday.

I would think that the mean would the best indicator be Mean as uses all the money spent and divides between them.

7, 8, 8, 8, 8, 9, 9, 10, 10, 11, 11,

(a) Calculate the mean, mode, and median of the data.

Mean=9

Median=9

(b) Which of the three averages is most useful to the manager?

mode as he can see what shoesize is most common and be able to account for it.
