Game review

challenge, play, premise, character, story

The last of us the game is set in a post apocalyptic world where a mutated fungal virus that covers the brain and takes over the host runs rampant and has left the world in ruins. The protagonist you start the game with Joel is broken and hollow after losing his daughter on day 0. However years later he is tasked with smuggling a rebellious fourteen year old girl named Ellie who is immune and is the key to a cure. The games motivation is simple Joel need to get Ellie to a group so they can make a cure, but its everything inbetween that makes the game worth playing seeing Joel and Ellie go from complete strangers to two people who will do anything for each other after learning how to love and trust again makes for a super compelling story and characters that you can relate to and understand what they do. Whilst the gameplay isn't too in-depth and can often feel clunky like when you are walking around and you stop and start it can be annoying when you are trying to explore the beautiful environments.

Batman arkham knight is the final game is the arkham trilogy where we see Batman go up against his greatest challenge when scarecrow makes threat which makes people evacuate Gotham and things are further complicated when a mysterious armoured figure who knows everything about Batman is shown to be working with scarecrow. Seeing a Batman face all his rogues gallery whilst infected with a joker virus that is slowly infecting him shows the will power that batman possesses and why he is a such a inspiring and beloved character. The combat is further improved by adding fear and environmental take downs which help with the free flow combat. The batmobile combat is fun but can also feel a bit gratuitous as some batmobile puzzles feel forced which does take away from the enjoyment at times.
