Chris McFall motion tracking

Tracking

Keeo ISO as low as possible without under exposing to get less noise in your image

Have a higher shutter speed to minimize motion blur to make tracking easy.

Aperture needs to keep the subject in focus also keep the green screen out of focus

Make sure to note all of your camera details like focal length and sensor width to help with the tracking.

Measure distance from camera sensor to markers

Smoke obscures trackers

Flickering lights interupt trackers

LOG footage is annoying to work with.

Issues Chris encountered in his first try:

Fingers too complex to track

Trackers are hidden by arm rotation

specularity of Ink caused track to get lost

No good reference for scale

Too much motion blur. adjust shutter angle/speed

Second test:

felt balls are too large and featureless

shadow caused trackers to get lost

coloured lights also cause trackers to get lost
